Edgemont Community Association

A wedding at the Edgemont Community Association comes with a sweeping view of the Rocky Mountains through tall west-facing windows, and the city lights coming on as the sun goes down.

The community centre sits just west of Nose Hill Park in northwest Calgary. Its floor-to-ceiling windows fill the main hall with natural light by day and frame the mountains at sunset.

Outside, a landscaped patio has a rustic wooden pergola strung with white lights for evening photos, and a garden that blooms through spring and summer.

The Panorama Room, about 2,600 square feet with a neutral colour scheme and direct patio access, seats up to 180 for a banquet. Couples have used it for both the ceremony and the reception, moving tables out afterward for a big dance floor. The smaller Mountain View Room, also facing west, seats about 70 for a banquet.

Couples are free to bring their own caterer and decorators, and there are no corkage charges. Round and long banquet tables, upholstered chairs, a podium and a portable bar are included, and a full commercial kitchen can be added.

The building is wheelchair accessible and air conditioned, with plenty of free parking and friendly staff on hand during the event.
