Picture vows spoken on an emerald lawn with tall pines behind you, then an evening beneath a glass roof and a ceiling of twinkling lights. At Drysdale's Tree Farm, that is how a wedding day can unfold.
Located in Egbert, about an hour north of Toronto, Drysdale's is a fourth generation tree farm known for its seasonal events, and for rustic weddings on a 400 acre property.
Ceremonies are held outdoors, with several sites to choose from: one in the forest, one beside a large maple and a blue spruce, an open field with gardens and tall pines, and a 24 foot round palladium beneath 100 year old maples for smaller weddings. Rustic red benches seat approximately 200 guests, and hydro is available at each site for music.
The reception takes place in a 5,000 square foot glass greenhouse surrounded by an interlock patio, landscaped gardens and a stone water feature, accommodating up to 299 guests.
By day a shade cloth softens the sunlight. At night the shades pull back to an open glass roof, and the space can be dressed up for elegance or left natural for a country feel.
Drysdale's hosts only one wedding per weekend, with the venue available from Friday for setup until Sunday at noon. Couples are free to choose their own caterer, bartender, photographer and rental company, and the team can recommend local vendors.
For photographs there is a stone waterfall, a kissing bridge over a brook, gardens, forests, a 1945 style train and vintage fire trucks.
For couples who want a relaxed weekend, freedom with vendors and a glasshouse reception under the stars, Drysdale's Tree Farm offers a rustic celebration with room to make it their own.
We never use a venue’s photos without permission.
