In the middle of downtown Calgary, Devonian Gardens offers couples something wonderfully unexpected: a wedding surrounded by tropical greenery without having to worry about what the Alberta sky is doing outside.
The indoor botanical garden is filled with plants, pathways, water features and natural light, creating the atmosphere of a garden ceremony in a space that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
Weddings remain part of the Gardens’ current booking program, with several spaces suited to celebrations of different sizes. The Gallery can accommodate gatherings of up to approximately 150, while smaller garden rooms allow intimate weddings to feel intentional rather than lost inside a large event hall.
The surrounding greenery already provides much of the visual atmosphere. Couples can keep their styling simple and allow palms, plants, water and garden paths to become part of the ceremony and photographs.
Some of the largest Terrace spaces are currently unavailable for booking, so couples should confirm which room is available for their preferred date before building plans around a particular capacity.
