A wedding at the Design Exchange sets vows inside one of Toronto's grand historic buildings, where 1930s architecture meets light and projection that can change with every moment of the night.

The venue occupies the old Toronto Stock Exchange building on Bay Street, built in 1937 and once the centre of the city's financial district.

Its showpiece is the Trading Floor, a dramatic room of about 6,000 square feet with ceilings around 40 feet high. Custom projection mapping, kinetic orb lighting and LED features let couples set the mood from the ceremony to the last dance.

Other spaces include the Gallery, bright with natural light; the Library, with raised views over King and Bay; and the Lobby, which holds 90 guests and works well for a ceremony or cocktail hour. Catering and décor are handled with trusted partners.

For couples who picture a glamorous downtown celebration in a landmark building, the Design Exchange offers a wedding that feels bold, historic and entirely their own.
