Behind a rainbow-hued façade inspired by the flags of the world, Daniels Spectrum is a building full of music, art and community life. It is a celebration space with a heartbeat of its own.
Located in Regent Park, in Toronto's downtown east, the community cultural hub is just minutes from Yonge-Dundas Square. Its event spaces are operated by ArtHubs, a non-profit that supports artists and creatives, so booking here also gives back to the arts community.
The main event space, Ada Slaight Hall, is a 5,834-square-foot ground floor hall that welcomes weddings, performances and celebrations. It can host approximately 330 guests at round tables, up to 400 theatre style and up to 600 for a standing reception.
The hall comes with a full sound and theatrical lighting system, a stage, a 296-person retractable seating unit and partition walls that can divide it into three smaller areas. A green room, microphones, a projector and screen, and live streaming capabilities are also available.
Adjacent to the hall, the Community Living Room is a bright 2,048-square-foot space at the building's main entrance, with wall-to-wall windows and a built-in bar. It works beautifully for cocktails before dinner or on its own for smaller gatherings, with room for around 120 standing or 80 theatre style.
ArtHubs works with a list of preferred local vendors for catering, event planning, rentals, AV and décor.
The building is fully accessible, designed to LEED Silver standards, and offers paid underground and street parking.
For couples who want a modern, colourful downtown space with real community spirit and room for a large guest list, Daniels Spectrum offers a celebration that feels creative, generous and proudly Toronto.
