Coyote Flats Pioneer Village

Some weddings feel like stepping back in time. At Coyote Flats Pioneer Village near Picture Butte, historic buildings and open grounds create a setting shaped by prairie history.

The village is operated by the Prairie Tractor and Engine Museum Society and welcomes weddings along with birthday parties, family reunions and corporate events, using a mix of indoor and outdoor function spaces.

For the ceremony, the Christian Reformed Church offers traditional oak pews, a vaulted ceiling, a pump organ and a pot belly stove, a lovely place to say vows in a room full of history. Couples can also choose from many outdoor locations on the grounds.

The reception can move to the Warren Kleeman Hall, a modern and easily configurable hall with kitchen and bathroom facilities, padded chairs, rectangular and round tables and table linens available.

The hall also includes video projection and microphone capabilities, ready for speeches, toasts and a slideshow of the couple's story.

Onsite camping is available, so family and friends might stay close and make a weekend of it.
