There is something about old stone that makes a celebration feel rooted. At Code's Mill on the Park, restored limestone walls, heavy timber ceilings and romantic balconies give every wedding a backdrop with real character.
Set in the beautifully restored Code's Mill, a designated historic site in Perth, the venue overlooks Stewart Park. Open year round, it has hosted more than 900 weddings since 2000.
The Carding Ballroom is the heart of the celebration. With soft twinkling lights and balconies looking over the mill's central atrium, it can accommodate around 300 guests for a reception and up to approximately 275 for a banquet.
The Parkside Loft is the venue's own on-site chapel, a sun-soaked room for up to approximately 100 guests in theatre-style seating. Couples can choose it for the ceremony itself or keep it as a plan B in case of rain.
Just across the street, Stewart Park offers meandering paths, perennial gardens and bridges over the Tay River, an ideal setting for outdoor ceremonies and wedding photos. That means the ceremony, reception and photography can all happen in one picturesque place.
Bookings include exclusive use of the venue, including Carding Hall, the wedding chapel at the Parkside Loft, the Bar on the Park and access to the three-storey garden atrium for photographs. A large gas fireplace with a formal mantle adds warmth, and seasonal decorations appear in the atrium and entrances.
Food is prepared in house, with packages that can cover everything from appetizers to wedding cake, whether couples prefer a morning brunch, a traditional sit-down banquet or an evening reception. An experienced Venue Coordinator helps with planning and on the day, and the team handles linens, china, tables, chairs, setup and tear-down.
For couples drawn to history, stone and timber and a park full of photo spots across the street, Code's Mill on the Park offers a classic Perth wedding with everything gathered under one remarkable roof.
We never use a venue’s photos without permission.
