A wedding at the Ciociaro Club feels like a big Italian family celebration, with chandeliers overhead, long tables full of food and a dance floor that stays busy all night.
The club sits on more than 70 acres in Oldcastle, just outside Windsor, and calls itself the largest facility of its kind in Southwestern Ontario. Its grounds also hold bocce courts, soccer fields, a baseball complex and a cultural centre with a library.
Couples can marry in the chapel, in the foyer, at the gazebo, out on the grounds or in the ballroom itself, which lets guests move from vows to dinner without leaving the room. An outdoor pavilion adds another space for warmer days.
The main ballroom has coffered ceilings, chandeliers, columns and panelled walls, and divides into Ballrooms A, B and C. Ballroom A holds up to 320 guests, and with all three opened together the room seats up to 1,100. Smaller Ballrooms D, E and F host gatherings of about 80 to 180.
The club's own kitchen prepares every meal, from Italian style buffets to plated dinners. Menus feature antipasto stations, classic Italian dishes and late night pizza, and the bar can run as host, consumption or cash service, with champagne and signature drinks available.
Bridal rooms give the wedding party a place to get ready, and the club provides staging, a projector and screen in the larger rooms, and wifi.
For couples who picture a grand evening with every cousin and family friend at the table, Ciociaro Club offers a wedding rooted in Italian hospitality and generous food.
