Chute à Blondeau Community Centre

At the Chute à Blondeau Community Centre, couples can say their vows on the bank of the Ottawa River and then step inside to a reception with the water in full view.

The centre stands in the village of Chute-à-Blondeau in the Township of East Hawkesbury, about an hour from both Ottawa and Montreal. Its main hall has become a favourite for large celebrations across Prescott and Russell.

Ceremonies can happen outdoors or in. Guests can walk down to the riverbank, gather under a pergola that couples are free to decorate, or relax on a cobblestone patio beneath the upper veranda, which looks out over the river.

The ground floor banquet room seats up to 225 guests and offers a panoramic river view. A lower level room holds about 75 for smaller family gatherings. Both halls are air conditioned.

A full bar is run on site with wine, domestic, craft and imported beer and non alcoholic choices, and the team can mix a signature cocktail, sangria or punch to greet guests. A full kitchen is ready for the couple's caterer.

Round tables, a head table, banquet chairs, white linens, a wireless microphone and audiovisual equipment are available, and the bilingual staff help on the day. Overnight lodging is about 15 minutes away.
