The Alberta Ballroom is the grand option. At 8,786 square feet, it can host up to approximately 1,000 guests for a reception or 550 for a seated banquet. Glass chandeliers, high ceilings and room dividers allow the space to be shaped around each event.
For smaller gatherings, the Lacombe Room off the main Promenade holds up to around 120 guests reception style or 64 for a banquet. The River Valley Room offers views of the River Valley and space for around 80 guests reception style, and the hotel notes it is suited to ceremonies.
The hotel hosts both wedding ceremonies and receptions. Its catering team takes care of the details, from room decor to table centrepieces, while the culinary team can create custom menus with gourmet dishes, crafted cocktails and hand-selected wines.
Couples receive thoughtful touches such as a podium and microphone for the master of ceremonies, table linens, candles and holders, table numbers and assistance with favours and decor. Weddings of 200 guests or more also include a wedding night package for the newlyweds.
Guests can take advantage of special room rates, and the hotel offers access to its promenade for photographs, venues for rehearsal dinners and the largest underground parking in downtown Edmonton.
