At Chalets Prunella, a small wedding can happen on a lakeside dock, in a glass-walled forest pavilion or inside a cozy A-frame cabin.

This 75-acre forest retreat sits in the Pontiac at Ladysmith, a little over an hour from Ottawa. It is made for micro-weddings and elopements of 25 guests or fewer.

The Forest Pavilion has floor-to-ceiling windows framing the trees, a natural spot for vows, dinner and a long evening together. Ceremonies can also take place under the trees or by the lake.

Couples reserve the site exclusively, with all seven A-frame cabins for their guests. Each cabin has its own cedar hot tub, and fireplaces and firepits keep everyone warm after dark.

Ceremony furnishings are included, and couples are free to bring their own vendors and shape the day their way.

For couples who picture a quiet forest, a lake at dusk and a handful of people they love, Chalets Prunella offers an intimate wedding that feels unhurried and personal.
