Some love stories find their setting. At Brannen Lake Estates, the owners found theirs here and chose to share it.

Tammy and Randy Barr purchased the Vancouver Island property near Nanaimo in 2016 and were married on it in 2018. The land has been in the family since the 1970s, with a farming history, orchard grass fields, fruit trees and lakefront fun.

Lakeside Lovestory is a micro wedding ceremony site beside Brannen Lake, where an open field leads to a willow tree and a private dock reaches out over the water.

Fields of Forever welcomes up to 120 guests on hand-built wooden benches before a handcrafted arch, with views of the lake in the distance and fields of orchard grass all around.

Find Us in the Forest is surrounded by heritage trees, with a rock wall at the entrance to the aisle and room for up to 40 guests.

For winter elopements, the Runaway Barn is draped in lights from floor to ceiling and can accommodate up to 12 guests. It is available year round.

The outdoor venue hosts ceremonies and receptions on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May through September, with exclusive use of the property for the booked time. Couples can relax in a staging area at the main house before the ceremony.

The hosts, with years of experience as event coordinators, stay on hand to help with setup, organization, timing and cleanup.
