A wedding in a small town has its own kind of warmth. At the Paterson Community Centre in Bowden, Alberta, that warmth comes with a modern hall built for gathering.
The centre opened in 2018 and is operated by the Expanding Horizons Bowden Cultural Enhancement Society, a volunteer-run, non-profit group. Every event hosted here helps support the society's community mission.
The modern 11,000 square foot facility offers seating for up to 350 guests, giving couples plenty of room for a large family wedding while still feeling welcoming and bright.
Every rental includes a reception and dance floor area, a private bridal and family room, a fully stocked commercial kitchen with flatware, glassware and dinnerware, and a bar area with an ice maker and cooler.
A sound system with a cordless microphone and round and rectangular tables and chairs are part of the rental too, along with Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
The weekend package runs from Friday at noon through Sunday afternoon, giving couples time to decorate, celebrate and gather again before heading home. Optional upgrades are available for cleaning, set-up and early access.
Nine powered RV sites and ample parking make it easier for travelling family to stay close, and the centre sits centrally in Bowden.
A friendly Hall Coordinator is available to answer questions, and viewings can be arranged on weekday evenings or weekends.
For couples who want a spacious, modern hall with small-town hospitality and a whole weekend to celebrate, the Paterson Community Centre offers a wedding that feels both easy and generous.
