Some of the best celebrations happen in the place a whole community calls home. In Bezanson, that place is the Knelsen Community Event Centre, operated by the Bezanson Agricultural Society.
For decades, the Bezanson Memorial Hall has been the hub of the community. Today it is part of a larger centre that includes the Buffalo Gravel Gym, the Foyer and beautiful grounds, giving couples room to plan anything from an intimate gathering to a large wedding.
The Memorial Hall has a maximum capacity of 300 and is well suited to weddings, with a full commercial kitchen, a stage, a dance floor and adjoining washrooms. Tables and chairs are included in the rental.
For larger celebrations, the Buffalo Gravel Gym can be converted into a banquet hall, with a maximum capacity of 662. It features a full kitchen and a fully licensed bar operated by the Agricultural Society.
The Foyer adds flexible space for a reception or gathering, with capacity for up to 384 standing guests or 128 for dining. Couples planning a large wedding can book the entire Knelsen Centre, including the Memorial Hall, Foyer and gymnasium, along with the grounds.
Outside, the gazebo offers a charming spot for an outdoor ceremony, and the grounds also include room for camping for patrons of the facilities.
Food is served by a caterer approved by the Agricultural Society, and families may also cater a wedding in the Memorial Hall. Extras such as pipe and drape and a projector and screen can be arranged.
There is something special about celebrating in a hall that has been the hub of its community for decades, with a stage and dance floor ready for dinners, dances and long evenings with family and neighbours.
