There is a particular kind of romance that belongs to a vineyard: rows of vines disappearing across the landscape, mountains rising in the distance and an afternoon celebration unfolding beneath an enormous Vancouver Island sky.
Beaufort Vineyard & Estate Winery sits in the Comox Valley with views toward the Beaufort Mountain Range and an estate shaped by the cool coastal climate of Vancouver Island. Vines have been growing here since 2007, creating a setting that feels rooted in the landscape rather than simply placed upon it.
For private celebrations, Beaufort offers an outdoor space beside the vineyard for gatherings of up to approximately 50 guests. It is intentionally intimate, giving a smaller guest list the chance to share the property without losing that sense of openness that makes a vineyard celebration so beautiful.
The space is outdoors and uncovered, making it particularly suited to couples who picture a daytime celebration surrounded by vines, fresh air and the changing colours of the estate. The winery allows outside catering arrangements, including caterers and food trucks, giving couples room to shape the meal and atmosphere around the kind of gathering they want.
There is also something lovely about the scale of Beaufort. With a smaller celebration, the day can feel less like moving hundreds of people through a schedule and more like gathering everyone important to you in one beautiful place. Guests can linger over wine, conversation and food while the vineyard becomes the scenery around them.
Beaufort is also Vancouver Island's first certified organic winery, with a strong focus on organic and regenerative farming. That connection to the land is felt throughout the estate, from the vineyard rows to the wines produced from grapes grown in the Comox Valley.
For couples drawn to celebrations that feel relaxed, intimate and closely connected to nature, Beaufort offers a setting where the vineyard does much of the decorating on its own.
