At Bayfield Boutique Bed and Breakfast, a wedding unfolds in a private English garden, with vows spoken among the flowers and the evening glowing beside an outdoor fire.
The inn sits on a half acre in the heart of the village of Bayfield, Ontario. Its gardens hold hundreds of plantings lit at night by outdoor lighting, along with two outdoor fireplaces and a fire pit circled by Adirondack chairs.
From May to October, officiated ceremonies take place outside in the gardens beneath a wedding arbour. If rain or cold arrives, the celebration simply moves into the Garden House.
The Garden House is a 550 square foot space finished in pine barn boards, with chandeliers, garden windows, glass French doors and a sliding barn door. Harvest tables, white Chiavari chairs and a French country bench for the head table seat up to 40, and an add-on tent brings the total to 60 guests.
Packages are all-inclusive, so there is little left for couples to arrange. They bring together an officiant, professional photography, furnishings, table decor, tableware, a ceremony arch and chef catering with a wedding cake. Couples supply their own bar.
Celebrations range from elopements, where the inn can provide witnesses, to gatherings of up to 60. LGBTQ+ couples are warmly welcomed, and well-behaved dogs are invited to join the ceremony.
Guests can stay in one of four designer suites, among them the Grand Bourbon, Champagne, Garden and Cozy Hideaway suites, with gourmet breakfasts and a small on-site spa. Free parking is just across the street by Clan Gregor Square.
For couples who picture an intimate garden ceremony followed by firelight and a night in a village inn, Bayfield Boutique Bed and Breakfast offers a small wedding that feels personal from start to finish.
