There is a particular charm to celebrating in a historic limestone building at the heart of a university campus, with generations of stories already in its walls.
Ban Righ Hall sits in the centre of Queen's University in Kingston and is one of the campus venues offered for weddings through Queen's Event Services.
The hall has classic wood floors, natural light and a limestone exterior. It welcomes weddings from approximately 100 up to around 350 guests, making it one of the larger campus options.
Ceremonies can happen on site, with both indoor and outdoor ceremony locations available. An outdoor courtyard and terrace add places to gather before or after the vows.
Catering is handled by Queen's Event Services. The wedding package includes a cocktail reception with passed canapés, a three course dinner customized from the menu, dinner wine service and a late night station with cake cutting, coffee and tea. Host and cash bar service is available with Smart Serve certified bartenders.
Couples receive a complimentary menu tasting, and a dedicated event services coordinator helps with planning and provides on-site support on the day.
Standard tables, chairs, white linens and china, silverware and glassware are included, with specialty furniture available to rent.
For out-of-town guests, Queen's accommodations on campus are offered at a preferred rate, within walking distance of downtown Kingston and close to Lake Ontario.
