Backyard Farm Chef's Table

Backyard Farm Chef's Table is a private agri-culinary destination on the hillside of the South Okanagan wine region near Oliver, set among a 2 acre working hobby orchard and the family's home.

Since June 2014, its intimate private farmhouse dining room has hosted curated multi-course experiences for up to 20 guests, with an open concept kitchen at the centre of the room.

Menus are shaped by what is growing on the farm and by trusted local producers, and each is customized for allergies and dietary needs. Guests receive their personalized menu about a week ahead, along with wine pairing suggestions.

Beyond the farmhouse table, Backyard Farm offers private chef services and artisan catering, with each event planned through a detailed consultation and service styles ranging from plated wine-paired dinners to family-style meals.

The experience is led by Chef Chris Van Hooydonk, who brings more than 30 years of professional culinary experience, and his wife Mikkel, who nurtures the heritage property.
