Some celebrations are meant to sound as good as they look. At B Town Sound, the party happens inside a working, award-winning recording studio, where music is part of the building itself.
Located in an urban, industrial corner of Burlington, B Town Sound combines a recording studio, rehearsal space and event venue. The building began in 1988 as The Music Gym, was fully renovated in 2006, and was named Recording Studio of the Year at the Hamilton Music Awards in 2008. It has been welcoming private events since 2013.
The event space can hold up to 90 guests. Sliding barn doors with twinkling lights, candles and ambient lighting, couch seating and wooden bar tables with stools give the room a relaxed, rustic-industrial feel.
The stage is the natural centrepiece. A full professional sound system with speakers, monitors and microphones supports a live band, a DJ or a playlist, while coloured spotlights, LED stage lighting and a disco ball take over once the dancing begins. A 55 inch TV above the stage can show a slideshow or video.
Smart Serve bartenders run the bar, with packages that include wine, beer, liquor and a specialty drink, and a large hallway gives room for buffet tables and displays.
Food is flexible. The venue does not cook in house, so couples can bring in their own food or work from the team's recommended caterers, and a kitchenette is available for warming dishes that arrive already prepared.
Decor can be as personal as you like. Couples can bring their own pieces or ask the venue to provide decor such as linens, centrepieces, a photo backdrop and props, and the in-house team helps with planning so the evening comes together as imagined.
The venue lists discounted local hotel rooms among its amenities for guests travelling in, and tours can be booked in advance by phone or email.
For couples who want live music, a real stage and an evening that feels more like a private show than a banquet, B Town Sound offers one of the most distinctive party rooms in Burlington.
We never use a venue’s photos without permission.
