At Ascent Lounge, a small wedding gets the whole room: the lounge is closed to the public and given over entirely to one celebration in downtown Barrie.

The lounge welcomes intimate weddings alongside other private gatherings, and couples can book it for a ceremony, a reception, or both in one place.

Food is a big part of the day here. An in-house culinary team led by an executive chef prepares everything from scratch, from the first appetizers through to dessert, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, with a buffet menu available for events.

A full wine and drinks list keeps the bar well stocked, and the team shapes each event around what the couple has in mind.

For couples who picture a cozy, close-knit celebration with good food and a private room in the heart of the city, Ascent Lounge offers a relaxed downtown wedding that feels entirely their own.
