A ceremony in a hayloft barn, antique church pews lined up beneath chandeliers, then a short walk to the ballroom for dinner and dancing.
Colonnade Golf & Country Club is a family owned and operated golf club on Woodburn Road in Joyceville, in the Kingston and Gananoque area. The course is known for its water hazards and dog-legs, surrounded by award-winning landscaping and gardens.
Ceremonies are held on site in the hayloft barn, complete with antique church pews, chandeliers and an elevated ceremony stage.
Receptions take place in the club's ballroom, and the clubhouse is also available to rent. The licensed clubhouse has a covered deck overlooking the golf course.
The wedding offering is designed to be straightforward. It includes the wedding barn and ballroom, a buffet dinner, dinner house wine, a late pizza or snack, chair covers and white linen napkins.
Catering is handled in house, and the kitchen serves buffet-style country meals, such as roast sirloin of beef, prime rib and chicken dishes, with appetizers, vegetables, potatoes and desserts. Hors d'oeuvres and late night snacks can be added.
The schedule is relaxed too. Couples can set up and hold their rehearsal on the Friday, enjoy their day on Saturday and pick up their personal decorations on Sunday.
During prime wedding season, the club requires 130 or more dinner guests to book the facilities, so it best suits larger celebrations.
