A wedding at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is anything but ordinary. Couples can move from a romantic garden setting to dinner beside some of the zoo's most memorable residents, creating a celebration that feels playful, beautiful and completely different from a traditional ballroom wedding.

There is a wonderful range of spaces here, which means the venue can work for an intimate gathering of just a handful of favourite people or a much larger celebration. Grazers Restaurant has a rustic, contemporary feel and a private patio beside the Dorothy Harvie Gardens, while the ENMAX Conservatory brings lush botanical surroundings into the day. Safari Lodge adds one of the most unforgettable touches, with a veranda overlooking giraffes, zebras and ostriches. For couples who love an outdoor atmosphere, the Asia Lawn & Tent offers space to celebrate against a green, open backdrop.

The zoo's culinary team handles the food, and couples can choose to hold both ceremony and reception on site or simply gather here for the celebration afterwards.
