Wild Skies Resort

Wild Skies Resort makes a wedding feel like summer camp grew up, became romantic and invited all your favourite people. About an hour from Winnipeg, the ten-acre property hosts weekend weddings with exclusive use of the resort, creating a destination feeling without leaving Manitoba.

Couples can choose a ceremony among wildflowers or beneath tall tamaracks, then gather up to 60 guests for a sit-down dinner or cocktail-style reception. Wedding bookings include the cabin, domes and tents, with sleeping space for up to 32 guests plus room for additional camping. Smaller weekday elopements are also available.

The magic is in everything around the vows. Canoes on the gently moving river, lawn games, bonfires and stargazing give guests reasons to stay present rather than simply waiting for the reception. The wedding becomes a whole weekend of shared stories, with the ceremony as its beautiful centre rather than its only memorable moment.
