High above the water in Egmont, West Coast Wilderness Lodge turns a wedding into the feeling of having found a private corner of the Sunshine Coast and invited everyone you love into it. Forest, islands and the waters of Sechelt Inlet stretch beyond the property, while the lodge sits on a granite bluff with decks and gathering spaces made to keep that landscape close throughout the celebration.

For exclusive weekend weddings, the lodge closes to the public so the wedding party has private use of the guest lodges, dining room, social lounge, decks, beach and forest trails. There are 26 rooms and suites, with overnight capacity for up to 64 guests, while additional accommodation is available nearby. Inside, the dining room can seat up to 130 guests beneath vaulted ceilings and timber beams, with floor-to-ceiling windows keeping the view present even during dinner.

Couples can work with an on-site event coordinator, and the lodge offers both plated and buffet dining along with a fully licensed bar. Smaller celebrations are not forgotten either, with petite mid-week elopements available for up to 12 guests. Around the wedding itself, the setting opens the door to experiences that feel unmistakably coastal, from forest walks and kayaking to a beach campfire as the evening settles in.

This is the kind of place where the landscape becomes part of the vows. Guests look out over the inlet, dinner glows behind great windows, and the celebration has the intimacy of a private retreat rather than a room booked for a few hours.
