Waupoos Estates Winery gives a Prince Edward County wedding the rare romance of vineyards meeting the water. Set directly on Prince Edward Bay, the estate has 700 feet of Lake Ontario shoreline, allowing couples to exchange vows beside the water while vines and open countryside stretch behind the celebration.

The wedding experience can include the lower estate, lakefront ceremony setting, tented pavilion and beautiful grounds for photographs. Couples can also stay in the property's restored 1829 farmhouse, turning the night before the wedding into part of the story rather than simply a countdown to it.

There is something breathtaking about standing beside the bay in wedding clothes while the vineyard rises behind you. Water catches the light, vines soften the landscape and the whole estate feels beautifully suspended between lake and countryside.

Then the County sun begins to fall, glasses of estate wine are raised and the pavilion starts to glow. The shoreline darkens quietly while one unforgettable celebration carries on beside it.
