Johnson Hall at the Gimli Waterfront Centre feels almost made for the moment guests look up from dinner and remember that Lake Winnipeg is right outside. Set on the fifth floor only steps from the shoreline, the hall combines sweeping windows, warm hardwood floors and high ceilings with a view that becomes part of the celebration.

The room offers just under 3,000 square feet and includes a full-service kitchen. Weddings and banquets are specifically welcomed, with catering available through Mad Dash Catering and the Waterfront Centre team supporting couples as they plan the day.

What makes the setting especially romantic is the way the serene lake follows the wedding indoors. soft natural light pours through the windows during the day, then the view changes as evening arrives and the room begins to glow.

It is easy to imagine a winter wedding with the serene lake stretching pale beyond the glass, or a summer celebration with guests stepping outside into Gimli between the formal moments. Either way, the wedding gets something no amount of décor can recreate: a real sense of place.
