Waskesiu Community Hall feels like the wedding your grandparents might have danced at, held in a log hall a short walk from the beach.

The hall sits close to the townsite's main beach in Waskesiu, inside Prince Albert National Park, and gives a couple 2,600 square feet of rustic room: oak hardwood underfoot and log walls, chinked in the classic way, all around. It seats 160 for a banquet, 130 for a reception with dancing, or 300 in theatre seating, and because the building carries so much character on its own, it needs very little decoration to look the part.

The hall can be booked each year between the May long weekend and Thanksgiving weekend, which puts every wedding here in the lake's best season. The Waskesiu Chamber of Commerce takes the bookings, and it also handles two other halls nearby: Terrace Gardens Hall, restored to its 1930s look with birch floors and a wooden stage, and the Recreation Hall for receptions of up to 70.
