Wakamow Valley feels like a wedding held inside a park, with more than 500 acres of river valley, over twenty kilometres of trails and a choice of pavilions, all ten minutes on foot from downtown Moose Jaw.

The valley offers several places to gather. Connor Park Pavilion is the largest, holding up to 250 people where the valley meets its rim, and because it sits so much on its own it has become a favourite for weddings. Kiwanis River Park Pavilion sits along the river in the middle of the park, with an indoor lodge above the outdoor pavilion so the two can be rented together for any weather. Kinsmen-Wellesley Pavilion, near the walking trails, holds up to 100 for a smaller party.

For the ceremony itself, Plaxton's Lake Sun Shelter stands where the wooden boardwalk begins at the valley entrance and is a popular spot for vows, while Lions River Park offers small gazebos among the trees for an intimate ceremony by the water. The Sportsman's Centre, with a heritage building feel, can seat 200 at table when the celebration needs walls.

The valley is open in every season, so a summer wedding can share the day with canoes on the river, and a winter one can borrow the hush of snow on the cross country trails.
