Victoria Historic Schoolhouse gives a Prince Edward Island wedding the sweet romance of filling an old village school with flowers, family and a completely new kind of beginning.

In Victoria-by-the-Sea, the fully renovated historic building continues to serve the community as a rental venue and specifically welcomes weddings.

The front room is bright and beautiful, with approximately 60 by 25 feet of space and twelve large windows bringing sunlight across the wood floor.

There is even a front entrance the municipality specifically notes as being well suited to a bridal-party arrival.

That detail says almost everything about the charm of the place.

The wedding does not need to pretend the building is something else.

The old schoolhouse is the character.

Tables and chairs can be arranged around the celebration, while the historic piano and curated displays quietly keep the building's past present in the room.
