The Summit House

The Summit House begins with a view that makes people stop talking for a second. Set on a 200-acre off-grid property in the Malahat, it looks across mountains and Finlayson Arm, giving a wedding the feeling of being suspended somewhere between forest, sky and water.

The family-run property hosts weddings and other celebrations both large and small. Couples can use the west-coast style Summit House itself, an enclosed marquee tent or the surrounding grounds, allowing the day to shift between shelter and scenery without losing the landscape that brought everyone there. Accommodation is also available on the property, which can make the celebration feel more like a destination gathering than a single evening away from home.

There is something almost cinematic about promising forever in a place this high above the everyday.
