The Red Barn at Southlands Tsawwassen gives a wedding the warmth of a real historic barn set in the middle of a modern farm community.

Part of the original Southlands dairy farm, the restored barn has kept much of its old character while being rebuilt around the practical needs of contemporary celebrations.

The setting is wonderfully different from a traditional ballroom.

Fields stretch beyond the property.

Mountain views sit in the distance.

And two landscaped patios extend the celebration outside.

Inside, the barn offers around 2,300 square feet of event space and can welcome approximately 100 to 120 seated guests or up to 150 standing.

Tables and chairs are available, along with a dedicated kitchen, guest washrooms, parking and flexible floor plans.

So the room can remain beautifully simple.

The barn does not need to pretend to be rustic.

It already is.

Then the wedding changes it.

The tables fill.

Dinner becomes speeches.

The light fades over the farmland.
