The Quarry is one of those places where Edmonton seems to disappear somewhere behind you.
Set among the rolling greens and water of The Quarry Golf Club, the venue gives couples a wedding surrounded by open skies, natural scenery and the quiet beauty of the course, while still offering everything needed to carry the celebration from the first walk down the aisle to the last song of the night.
Couples can begin outside, exchanging vows at the venue’s outdoor ceremony site with the golf-course landscape stretching around them. It is the kind of setting that does not need much help to feel special. Guests gather, the music begins and for a few minutes the greens, water and enormous Alberta sky become the backdrop to the moment everyone came to see.
Afterwards, the newlyweds have an entire golf course waiting for photographs. Water features, long fairway views and changing light across the property create plenty of places to disappear together while guests begin celebrating nearby.
Then everyone comes inside.
For larger weddings, the Grand Ballroom can welcome up to 250 guests. Floor-to-ceiling windows keep the surrounding landscape connected to the celebration, while a stone fireplace brings warmth and character to the room. A private patio allows guests to wander outdoors throughout the evening, giving the reception somewhere to breathe beyond the dance floor and dinner tables.
Smaller weddings do not have to feel like smaller versions of something else. The Slate Room offers its own intimate setting for up to 50 guests, complete with another stone fireplace and private patio. It is a space where everyone can genuinely feel part of the same celebration, from the first glass raised to the stories shared over dinner.
Behind the scenes, many of the practical pieces are already taken care of. The Quarry offers in-house catering and bar service along with tables, chairs, linens, setup and teardown, audiovisual equipment and wedding coordination. There is also a private bridal suite, giving the morning of the wedding a space of its own before the doors open and everything suddenly becomes real.
And eventually, the day changes.
The afternoon light disappears from the course. The fireplace glows inside. Guests drift between the ballroom and patio, speeches become stories everyone will repeat tomorrow and the carefully arranged tables begin emptying as people find their way to the dance floor.
Outside, the golf course has grown quiet.
Inside, nobody is ready for the night to end.
For one evening, The Quarry is no longer about fairways or golf. It is simply the beautiful piece of Edmonton countryside where everyone you love gathered to watch the two of you begin married life.
