The Herb Garden gives an Ottawa-area wedding the feeling of disappearing into nature for the whole weekend.

Just west of the city, the family-run property offers weddings from mid-May into the autumn, surrounded by gardens, trails and a landscape that changes constantly through the season.

The venue is intentionally unhurried.

Couples receive access across three days.

Only one wedding is dedicated to each weekend whenever possible.

And the property offers several outdoor places for ceremonies and photographs before everyone gathers inside the historic original 19th-century cedar log barns for the reception.

That rhythm matters.

There is time to arrive.

Time to decorate.

Time to walk the grounds before anyone else gets there.

Then the vows happen.

Dinner becomes speeches.

And the old barns begin to glow against a property filled with trees, flowers and summer evenings.

A private dressing area, décor pieces and nature trails all support the day without taking over from the setting itself.

For couples who want a wedding that feels relaxed rather than rushed, the Herb Garden offers exactly that.
