There are very few places in Toronto where a wedding can begin among the ruins of the city's past and end inside a modern ballroom overlooking acres of green parkland.

Perched atop the Scarborough Bluffs and surrounded by 88 acres of Guild Park & Gardens, the estate brings together nearly every kind of backdrop a Toronto wedding could ask for: historic architecture, woodland and gardens, dramatic stonework, modern event spaces and Lake Ontario waiting beyond the edge of the park.
The story begins long before the wedding day. At the heart of the property is the historic Bickford House, built in 1914. Around it, Guild Park has become an extraordinary open-air collection of architectural pieces rescued from Toronto buildings that might otherwise have disappeared forever.
Stone columns rise among the trees. Arches and sculptures appear along the pathways. Pieces of old banks, theatres and office buildings have been given a second life in the gardens, creating wedding photographs that could never quite be recreated anywhere else in the city.
Couples can even say “I do” among some of that history.
The Greek Theatre offers an open-air ceremony setting framed by classical columns, allowing guests to gather outdoors with the park surrounding them. It feels wonderfully removed from downtown Toronto, despite still being inside the city.
Then the celebration moves somewhere entirely different.
Inside The Guild Inn Estate, soaring 20-foot floor-to-ceiling windows keep the surrounding greenery connected to the room. The contemporary event spaces can be divided for more intimate celebrations or opened for much larger gatherings, with receptions of up to 1,000 guests possible depending on configuration.
A large outdoor terrace gives everyone somewhere to wander between dinner and dancing, while the bridal suite provides a private space for those wonderfully nervous hours before the ceremony.
Food is prepared through the venue's own culinary team, allowing the dinner and reception to remain part of the same experience rather than feeling separate from the setting around them.
But the real magic of The Guild Inn is how many different worlds seem to exist within the same wedding.
