Some wedding venues feel like a ballroom with beautiful grounds around it.

The Gates on Roblin feels more like an estate that happens to know how to throw an incredible celebration.

Just west of Winnipeg, the century-old property sits beside the Assiniboine River, surrounded by mature trees, gardens and private grounds. Couples can choose among several outdoor ceremony settings, from the Lower Lawn to the Courtyard or Riverside Deck overlooking the river.

Then everyone moves inside.

The Grand Ballroom rises with high ceilings and natural light, welcoming seated weddings of up to approximately 350 guests. Smaller celebrations can use half of the ballroom, while the wraparound Riverside Deck keeps the river and grounds close throughout the evening.

It creates a lovely rhythm for the day.
