The Evergreen Village

The Evergreen Village feels like a little vintage world hidden only about twenty minutes outside Winnipeg. A long driveway, evergreen grove, two-storey farmhouse and romantic reception space give couples an all-in-one wedding setting that feels far more removed from the city than the drive suggests.

Ceremonies can be arranged throughout the picturesque grounds, from romantic gardens and vine-covered arches to a pergola, stone ruins and spaces beneath the trees. If Manitoba weather changes the plan, there is indoor ceremony space too. The farmhouse is included for the day, with private rooms for getting ready and beautiful old details for photographs, while meals are prepared in the venue's licensed kitchen.

The loveliest part is that the whole day can stay here. Guests move from vows into drinks, dinner and dancing without leaving the property, and the chandeliers begin to glow as daylight disappears outside. It feels less like renting several wedding locations and more like borrowing an entire little village for one favourite day.
