The Briars Resort & Spa gives a Lake Simcoe wedding the feeling of escaping into an old country estate for the weekend. The historic inn sits on the south shore of the serene lake, surrounded by romantic gardens, forest and waterfront, with ceremony and reception spaces designed for celebrations of very different sizes.

Couples can choose among spaces such as the Great Hall, Garden Tent, Jalna Room and Garden Court. The Garden Tent can accommodate up to 230 guests with a dance floor, while the Great Hall suits up to 130 with dancing and smaller rooms create a more warm, intimate atmosphere. A venue coordinator, setup team and table settings are included with wedding banquet rentals.

There is something beautifully romantic about a resort where the wedding can wander from romantic gardens to waterfront and then into rooms filled with old character.

By evening, Lake Simcoe grows dark beyond the property and the celebration gathers everyone inside, turning a historic inn into one family's favourite place for the night.
