Sweet Haven Barn gives an Alberta wedding the feeling of slowing everything down for a weekend.

Near Huxley, the family-run venue is surrounded by open countryside, natural landscape and the kind of wide prairie sky that makes a barn wedding feel exactly where it should be.

The barn itself was built to echo the character of a 19th-century structure, with stained wood, chandeliers, an old-brick fireplace and a private bridal suite.

Outside, couples can exchange vows in the landscape.

Inside, the barn can welcome celebrations of up to around 200 guests.
