Sherwood Inn gives a Muskoka wedding the timeless romance of a traditional lakeside inn on the peaceful shores of Lake Joseph. Welcoming guests since 1939, the resort combines classic Muskoka character, waterfront scenery, accommodation, dining and the rare possibility of making the entire property feel like it belongs only to the wedding.

The inn hosts intimate resort weddings for roughly 100 to 120 guests and offers exclusive-use wedding experiences with no other resort guests on the property. That turns the celebration into a true Muskoka getaway, where friends and family can stay, dine and wake beside the same lake that framed the vows.

There is something breathtaking about Lake Joseph on a wedding morning. The water is still, the trees seem impossibly peaceful and the people you love are scattered through the inn waiting for the day to begin.

Then sunset melts across the lake, the resort grows warm with dinner and music, and a place known for romantic escapes becomes the setting for the most meaningful one of all.
