Sharon Museum and Gardens gives a wedding the extraordinary romance of stepping into a landscape filled with heritage buildings, old trees and almost two centuries of history. The seven-acre property lets couples shape the day around several distinctive settings, from the remarkable Sharon Temple to gardens, lawns and the intimate Temperance Hall.

The Sharon Temple, completed in 1832, can welcome ceremonies of up to 200 guests beneath its original woodwork and unusual architecture. Outdoor vows can unfold beside heritage buildings or beneath century-old maples, while Temperance Hall offers a cozy reception setting for smaller celebrations.

There is something almost magical about walking toward your vows in a place where every building seems to carry a story. Old wood, soft colours and garden greenery make the ceremony feel timeless without taking away from the couple at its centre.

Then the grounds grow quiet in the evening, guests gather closer and a place devoted to preserving history becomes the setting for a beautiful new piece of it.
