Sands on Golden Lake gives an Ottawa Valley wedding the kind of relaxed lakeside romance that changes beautifully with every season. Set directly on Golden Lake, the resort lets couples marry beside the water, beneath an arbour or even with their toes in the sand before moving into a beach-level reception room overlooking the lake.

The Deacon Room can host weddings of up to 120 guests, while hotel rooms and chalets allow family and friends to stay on site and turn the celebration into a two-day getaway. Summer brings sparkling water, autumn brings fiery colour and winter can make the setting feel wonderfully cozy beside the fire.

There is something breathtaking about walking toward your vows with a lake stretching behind the people you love. The water makes the moment feel open, peaceful and beautifully unhurried.

Then sunset melts across Golden Lake, dinner begins and the shoreline slowly disappears into evening while the celebration glows warmly beside it.
