Across 40 private acres of Southern Alberta countryside, Rocking R Guest Ranch gives couples something increasingly rare on a wedding day: time.

Rather than arriving, celebrating and leaving in a rush, the ranch can become yours for an entire wedding weekend. Come in Friday for decorating and rehearsal, wake up knowing the whole wedding day is ahead of you, then return Sunday morning before everyone says goodbye.

Vows can be exchanged in the meadow beneath a rustic arbor, with rolling pasture and Alberta sky stretching beyond it. Afterwards, guests can move into the reception tent and patio for dinner, drinks and dancing.

The main wedding experience includes two nights in the ranch cabins and ceremony and reception furnishings for up to 132 guests.

There are also intimate options for couples dreaming of something smaller, including golden-hour elopements.

For a wedding filled with prairie views, long evenings and a little more time with the people you love, Rocking R turns the celebration into a weekend away.
