Resort Lac Ste-Marie gives a wedding the dreamy romance of a lakeside retreat built on a heritage farm site, where nature, rustic character and an entire wedding weekend can come together. The resort actively specializes in weddings and can welcome celebrations of up to 80 guests.

Couples can use a rustic indoor chapel for ceremonies of up to 50 guests or celebrate outdoors, while the restored barn, courtyard and lakeside surroundings add different moods throughout the day. Six condos and a private honeymoon suite allow loved ones to remain on the property after the celebration.

There is something wonderfully romantic about gathering beside a lake where nobody needs to rush home. The vows feel intimate, the landscape does much of the decorating and the wedding becomes a shared little escape.

Then the lake darkens, lights glow around the resort and everyone settles into dinner, music and celebration beneath the quiet Gatineau sky.
