Complexe Hôtelier Du Pré feels like the kind of place where a whole town's celebrations have happened, a Princeville landmark that began as a reception hall and grew around the parties it hosted.

The complex opened in 1965 as a reception hall before expanding into a full hotel, and the hall is still its heart. Du Pré describes it as the largest reception hall in the L'Érable region, built for gatherings that other places cannot fit, with room for weddings, anniversaries, meetings and parties of every size.

Couples can take the hall à la carte or as a turnkey package. The kitchen draws on more than 40 years of restaurant experience, with wedding menus, hot and cold buffets and brunch options, so the meal can be as formal or as relaxed as the couple wishes. The on-site restaurant, L'Orchidée, and a bar round out the complex.

When the dancing ends, guests do not have far to go. The hotel has 20 rooms and suites with nine-foot ceilings, Queen and King beds, and some spacious rooms with a whirlpool tub. In winter there is even a heated garage for snowmobiles, which says something about the Centre-du-Québec crowd it welcomes.
