RCMP Heritage Centre gives a Regina wedding one of the city's most distinctive architectural backdrops.

Designed by renowned Canadian architect Arthur Erickson, the 65,000-square-foot building combines soaring glass, Tyndall Stone and a sweeping roofline inspired by the prairie landscape and historic encampments.

The Centre actively welcomes weddings and private celebrations.

That means couples can bring a deeply personal day into a place built around Canadian history and striking contemporary design.

Different spaces can be shaped around the celebration, including the Heritage Room and larger reception areas, with the Centre's event team available to support the gathering.

Then the building changes simply because of who is inside it.

The architecture still draws the eye.

The history remains.

But dinner becomes speeches.

Glasses rise.
