Qualico Family Centre

The name may sound practical.

The setting is anything but.

Hidden among oak and pine inside Winnipeg's Assiniboine Park, the Qualico Family Centre sits beside the Riley Family Duck Pond, surrounding a wedding with trees, water and one of the city's most beloved green spaces.

It is the kind of venue where guests can arrive for dinner and still feel as though nature has followed them inside.

For larger celebrations, the Park Café and Tamarack Room can be combined to welcome up to 160 seated guests, while standing receptions can reach 220. Each space can also be used separately for smaller gatherings of up to 80 seated guests.

That flexibility means couples can choose a room that actually fits the celebration they are planning rather than letting the venue decide how large the wedding should become.

But the real romance is waiting outside.

Assiniboine Park gives couples an entire landscape to disappear into for photographs. Trees, pathways, gardens and water surround the venue, changing with Winnipeg's seasons and giving every part of the year its own version of beautiful.

Then everyone comes back together.
