Poets Cove Resort & Spa gives couples the feeling of slipping away to a little Gulf Island world for the wedding.

Set on South Pender Island overlooking Bedwell Harbour, the resort combines ocean views, accommodation and intimate event spaces in one coastal destination. Couples can exchange vows on the terrace with the harbour behind them, then move inside to the Seaglass Ballroom, where floor-to-ceiling windows keep the water visible throughout the celebration.

The ballroom and terrace can welcome up to 100 guests for a seated dinner, while couples planning something smaller have beautiful alternatives. The Aurora Dining Room seats up to 40 and includes a private bar and harbour-view patio, making it lovely for an intimate reception. The Executive Cottage offers an even more private hilltop setting, with gardens and patio space suited to a close gathering or rehearsal dinner.

Poets Cove also welcomes elopements, so a wedding here does not need a large guest list to feel complete. The ocean, island landscape and journey to Pender Island already give the day a sense of occasion.

On-site coordinators, dining and resort accommodation help turn the wedding into a fuller getaway for the people staying around it.
