At Pelee Island Winery in Kingsville, the vineyard is not simply a backdrop. It becomes part of the entire day.

Couples can exchange vows beneath a wooden arbour surrounded by gardens and vines, or choose the pond where water, greenery and evening light create a softer ceremony setting.

Then everyone gathers upstairs in the Banquet Room.

The space can welcome approximately 180 guests for a seated celebration with dancing, with a large covered balcony overlooking the vineyard and a fireplace bringing warmth inside.

There is even a private bridal suite for those wonderfully nervous hours before the ceremony begins.

But perhaps the loveliest moment comes afterward.

Guests begin cocktails while the newlyweds disappear into the vineyard.
