A Fernie wedding can have all the romance of a mountain town without asking every guest to scatter once the celebration begins. Park Place Lodge sits close to historic downtown and brings the ceremony, dinner, late-night gathering and overnight stay into one comfortable home base, making it especially lovely for a smaller wedding built around time together.

The Fireside Room is made for intimate moments, with a large fireplace, baby grand piano and leather furnishings creating a warm setting for ceremonies of around 40 guests. For the reception, Max Restaurant can host approximately 60 guests beneath brass chandeliers, with a river-rock fireplace and artwork adding character that feels distinctly different from a blank hotel ballroom. Smaller meeting rooms can support groups of roughly 10 to 25, while the attached pub offers somewhere for the energy to continue later into the night.

The lodge has 64 guest rooms and suites, giving travelling family and friends the convenience of staying where the wedding is unfolding. The property also includes its restaurant, pub, indoor pool, whirlpool and fitness room, while its central location puts guests within walking distance of Fernie's historic downtown. The hotel currently offers special accommodation rates for wedding groups, including options for room blocks.

For a couple dreaming of a wedding that feels close rather than enormous, there is something especially sweet about this setting.
