Inside a historic St. John's property, Monastery Spa & Suites offers couples a wonderfully intimate place to bring together the quieter pieces of a wedding celebration.

The restored building is home to 31 suites, many with fireplaces and private Jacuzzi tubs, making it a natural place for the wedding party to settle in, get ready and stay the night.

For smaller celebrations, the property also has flexible event space and a sheltered garden deck that can bring guests outside when the Newfoundland weather cooperates. Catering and bar service can be arranged through the venue.

Then there is the spa itself. Couples and their wedding party can build treatments and time to unwind into the stay, turning the hours before or after the wedding into part of the experience rather than simply rushing through them.

It is less about a grand ballroom and more about gathering somewhere historic, staying together and having a peaceful place to come home to at the end of an enormous day.
